Bachelors in Criminal Justice
The Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice program offers an effective combination of theory and real-world applications in the areas of criminology, criminal evidence, criminal procedure, introduction to corrections, policing, criminal justice report writing, constitutional law, principles of management and computer applications.
Areas of study also include the national criminal justice system, correctional organizations, and law enforcement agencies. As a student of this program you will learn about the nature and extent of crime and delinquency, and the cause and explanation of criminal behavior, rule of evidence, basic investigation techniques and the philosophy of criminal law.
You will also perform more in depth research and study in areas such as gang activity, drug operations, probation, and criminal justice management. Further areas of interest include that open to take as electives include computer crime, victimology, alternatives to incarceration, and interview and criminal interrogations.
The Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice prepares students for entry-level or middle-management positions in a variety of criminal justice environments.
