Associate in Paralegal Studies
A Paralegal, as known as a Legal Assistant or Lawyer's Assistant to many, works under the supervision of an attorney and assisting with legal research, drafting documents and motions which are filed in court, interviewing clients and witnesses, managing case work, and gathering of evidence and the litigation procedure. Paralegals are also sometimes involved in trial assistance and other disputation resolution processes, as well as preparing real estate documents, probate, contracts, corporate matters and law office investigation. Today paralegals are trained to handle most of the challenging tasks formerly handled only by lawyers.
